David G. Feil, M.D.
Dr. David Feil grew up in Salt
Lake City, Utah, where he graduated from the University of
Utah in 1964. He also received his medical degree from the
same university in 1967. Following a medical internship at San
Francisco General Hospital in 1968, he served 2 years in the
United States Navy as a general medical officer at Lemoore
Naval Air Station. He continued in the Navy Reserve during his
ophthalmology residency, obtaining the rank of Lieutenant
Commander. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in
1973. He is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and a member of
the American Medical Association, the California Medical
Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the
American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the
International Society of Ophthalmic Surgeons.
Dr. Feil has practiced ophthalmology in
Visalia since 1973. He has been actively involved in the
community, serving on the Boy Scout Council and several
charitable organizations. He continues to serve in his church,
where he has served in many different capacities. His children
have all graduated from Golden West High School and are
pursuing careers in medicine. He enjoys working together with
his son, Stan.
